Marianne Rajic is a partner in Walkers' Global Finance and Corporate and Investment Funds Groups.
Marianne joined Walkers' British Virgin Islands office in 2008 where she heads up the BVI funds practice. Marianne's practice covers all aspects of the structure and operation of investment funds and alternative investment products (including innovative hybrid and crossover funds) investing in a diverse range of assets, including downstream transactions and joint ventures. She also advises on a wide range of matters relating to investment funds and corporate restructurings and reorganisations, distressed funds and vulture funds.
Marianne has significant experience of corporate finance transactions including debt, equity, securitisation, convertible debt and warrants issues, as well as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.​


Prior to joining Walkers, Marianne worked at an international offshore law firm in the BVI and before that, at SJ Berwin LLP in London, where she advised collective investment schemes (mutual funds, including private equity funds), hedge funds and funds of funds on issues relating to their operation, marketing and management, prime brokerage, securities trading, custody, clearing and settlement arrangements and on regulatory and compliance matters including advice on authorisation, conduct of business rules, financial promotion, outsourcing, enforcement and market abuse issues.
Marianne has financial services regulatory experience having worked as a Senior Lawyer at the Financial Services Authority in the UK (Enforcement Wholesale) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in Australia (Enforcement Markets).
Marianne also served as a Major in the Australian Army Legal Corps.​
