Guy Locke joined Walkers in 1995 and is Managing Partner of the Cayman Islands office. Prior to assuming responsibility for the Cayman office, Guy was Managing Partner of Walkers' Hong Kong office and head of the Asia region. He specialises in corporate restructuring and contentious insolvency and is Senior Partner of the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Group, which is the largest and most experienced such group in the Cayman Islands. 

Recent matters include: Transocean/GlobalSantaFe Corporation merger (NYSE – combined market capital US$55 billion), Enron, Parmalat, Sphinx Funds, Bear Stearns High-Grade and Enhanced Leverage Master Funds and Basis Funds.

Prior Employment Experience

Guy Locke qualified as an English solicitor in 1990. He then spent a year in the Corporate/Commercial Litigation Department at Hogan Lovells in London, working on corporate finance, banking and insolvency litigation cases. Thereafter, Guy moved to the contentious insolvency team at SNR Denton where he worked on a number of large corporate recovery and turnaround cases in both London and Hong Kong.
