We are pleased to announce that Hughie Wong has been appointed managing partner of our London office, effective 1 March 2026.
Hughie will succeed
Jack Boldarin, who has led the London office since 2013.
Over more than a decade as managing partner, Jack has overseen a period of sustained growth and strategic development. During his tenure, the London office has grown to a business of more than 250 people, firmly establishing its position as the pre-eminent London-based provider of Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Bermuda legal advice to an international client base.
Hughie is co-head of our London Investment Funds practice and brings more than 17 years’ experience advising clients on Cayman Islands and BVI law, with a particular focus on hedge funds, private equity and venture capital funds, including digital assets. He is recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) as a leading individual and has played a central role in the continued development of the London office.
Commenting on his appointment, Hughie said: ‘I’m honoured to take on the role of London managing partner at a time when the office is in a strong position, in no small part thanks to Jack’s leadership over the past decade and for the platform he has helped to build.’
He added: ‘London plays a pivotal role in connecting our international investment hubs with clients across EMEA, and there is real opportunity ahead. My focus will be on maintaining the momentum we have built and delivering the high-quality, time-zone sensitive support our clients rely on.’
Jack commented: ‘Over the years, the London office has grown significantly in both scale and reputation, supporting our clients with high-quality advice. That success reflects the strength of our team and the confidence placed in us by our client base.'
He continued: ‘I’m proud of what has been achieved and know that the office will continue to go from strength to strength under Hughie’s leadership. I look forward to supporting him in the next chapter for the London office.’
Ingrid Pierce, global managing partner, said: ‘Jack has made a significant contribution to the firm over more than two decades, including his leadership of our London office since 2013. He has guided the office through a period of sustained growth and positioned London as a core part of our international platform. I would like to thank him for his steady leadership and commitment to the firm across our Cayman Islands, BVI, Jersey and London offices.'
She added: ‘London remains a key strategic location for our investment hub jurisdictions. I look forward to working closely with Hughie as he leads the office into its next phase of growth.'
The London office marks its 25th anniversary this year, underscoring the depth of its presence in the market and the strength of the platform it has built over the past quarter century.
