A legal scholarship award for a Caymanian who has been accepted to or is enrolled on a qualifying UK law degree programme. 

Through our Legal Scholarship Programme we will support you financially and professionally as you undertake the academic and/or vocational stage of legal training that together qualify you for the period of recognised training (also known as qualifying work experience or articles of clerkship). You will receive mentoring and guidance throughout your award and you will also have the opportunity to participate in a paid summer placement.

What you'll do

As a legal scholarship recipient, you immediately become a part of our global team. You will receive mentoring, career guidance and support for the duration of your award and will have at least one paid placement with us. You will also have networking opportunities with Walkers colleagues who have a breadth of experience and are actively engaged in global, industry-leading transactions.

Are you a Caymanian with a demonstrated record of academic achievement who is committed to a career in law at Walkers, who intends to return to the Cayman Islands to practise law and who will embrace our high achieving, inclusive and supportive culture? If so, we would like to hear from you.

How to apply

The application form should be completed with care and thought with all supporting documentation provided at the time of submission. Amendments may not be allowed after submission. We receive a lot of strong applications so make every word count and ensure that your personality comes through. You will be contacted only if you progress to the interview stage.

Seeking additional awards
You may apply for and be awarded other scholarships but Walkers reserves the right to review and possibly adjust the final sponsorship amount.
