Efe advises major financial institutions and digital asset businesses on a wide range of regulatory matters.
She guides clients on regulatory issues relating to FATCA and the Common Reporting Standard, economic substance, beneficial ownership, digital assets, data protection, and anti‑money laundering and sanctions compliance.
Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers, Efe worked in the Innovate Division of the Financial Conduct Authority, focusing on the development of rules and guidance on virtual assets. Efe was also part of the Financial Conduct Authority's Enforcement Division, where she conducted regulatory investigations and was part of the Litigation and Legal Review team.
