Nilani is a senior vice president on the Fiduciary team at Walkers Professional Services in the Cayman Islands and provides director services to a wide range of transactions and legal structures including for structured and asset finance SPVs, economic substance solutions and private equity funds.
She has over 18 years' experience in the financial services industry in a variety of fiduciary roles including taking director, receivership, liquidation or financial advisor appointments in distressed situations on cross boarder restructuring and insolvency engagements in BVI, Cayman, Hong Kong, Singapore and PRC. Nilani is a qualified chartered accountant with experience in auditing structured finance vehicles.

Experience and recent work
Nilani headed up the External Finance department of Walkers Professional Services and oversaw the launch of multiple service lines. She established and supervised a team responsible for the preparation and filing of the Private Fund – Fund Annual Returns and books of accounts in connection with the Economic Substance returns.
Prior to joining Walkers, Nilani held senior positions at global restructuring and insolvency advisory firms in the Cayman Islands, BVI and Hong Kong. Nilani was responsible for overseeing a broad range of matters that included a variety of offshore legal structures, funds and industries with exposure to many asset types.
Nilani also has audit experience including working at a 'Big 4' audit firm specialising in audits of structure finance vehicles.

- BCA, Bachelors of Commernce and Administration, University of Victoria, Wellington, New Zealand Majors: Accountancy, Commercial Law and Money & Finance
- Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy, University of Victoria, Wellington, New Zealand
- Registered director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority
- Member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association
- Chartered Accountant and member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
- Member of the Cayman Islands chapter of International Woman’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC)
