Walkers acts as Cayman Islands counsel to Manchester United on the acquisition of a minority stake by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Chairman of INEOS

Walkers is pleased to have acted as Cayman Islands legal counsel to Manchester United plc (NYSE: MANU) in relation to a transaction pursuant to which the Chairman of INEOS, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, will acquire 25 per cent of Manchester United’s Class B shares and will initiate a tender offer for up to 25 per cent of Manchester United’s Class A shares and provide an additional $300 million intended to enable future investment into the club's infrastructure at Old Trafford.
