Our ongoing commitment to the programme is a testament to Walkers' dedication towards improving the environment and local communities we're a part of.
The National Trust's Blue Iguana Conservation programme plays a pivotal role in preserving and rehabilitating the critically endangered Blue Iguana, a species endemic to the Cayman Islands. It focuses on habitat restoration, breeding programmes and public awareness initiatives to help raise vital funds for repopulating Blue Iguanas across the Cayman Islands.
We're honoured to contribute financial support, legal expertise and volunteer efforts to bolster these crucial conservation endeavours. In the two decades Walkers has supported the programme, hundreds of our staff have volunteered their time to help grow the Blue Iguana population.
Rob Jackson, Walkers Cayman Managing Partner, stated: "We're proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the National Trust for the Cayman Islands and their tireless efforts to safeguard the Blue Iguana. Our commitment reflects our dedication to environmental sustainability and biodiversity preservation. Together, we aim to make a lasting impact on the future of this esteemed species."
