Advising Vinci Partners on business combination with Compass

We are pleased to have acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Vinci Partners Investments Ltd. (NASDAQ: VINP), the controlling company of a leading alternative investment platform in Brazil, in relation to its business combination with Compass, a leading asset manager and investment advisory firm in Latin America.

The Walkers team was led by corporate partner Jason Allison, senior counsel Sam Francis and associate Samuel Buchan. It was a pleasure working alongside Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP who were transaction legal counsel for Vinci Partners.

The combination creates a full-service Latin American alternative asset manager, that as of June 2024, had more than US$52 billion in assets under management across Private Markets, Investment Products and Solutions, Public Equities and Corporate Advisory segments.
