During their 12-month pupillage, Chrysda and Kaleb will spend 6 months with our Corporate, Finance, Funds & Insurance team, and 6 months with our Insolvency & Dispute Resolution team.
Chrysda Smith was awarded her Postgraduate Diploma in Law with distinction from the University of Law, United Kingdom, earlier this year. She also completed the Bar Practice Course and obtained a Master of Laws at the Manchester Campus, both with distinction. Prior to her legal studies, Chrysda obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from York University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and as a member of the Dean’s Circle of Student Scholars.
Kaleb Phillips graduated from the University of York in 2022 with a Bachelor of Laws, achieving Upper Second-Class Honours. He subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course and obtained a Master of Science in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law, United Kingdom. In addition to his legal qualifications, Kaleb holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours and is an active member of the London Lawyers’ Symphony Orchestra.

Students who participate in our pupillage programme gain practical experience and exposure to Bermuda's law industry by working alongside partners and senior lawyers on a range of corporate and commercial matters. After successfully completing the 12-month programme, they are called to the Bermuda Bar.
