We have acted as Cayman Islands legal counsel to Intella in its initial $12.5 million Series A funding round that will be used to accelerate its MENA expansion.
Founded in Egypt in 2021, Intella builds AI models tailored to Arabic dialects, offering transcription, analytics and customer engagement tools.
The oversubscribed funding round will support Intella’s mission to power a digital AI workforce across the Arabic-speaking world. With this new funding, Intella will double down on R&D, product expansion and regional hiring to bring its vision to life.
Our Dubai-based team advised Intella on all Cayman Islands legal aspects of the transaction, working closely alongside lead counsel Latham & Watkins. Our team was led by partners
Tom Cochrane and
Reghard Smith as well as associate
Tania Diab.
Commenting on the transaction, Tom said: 'This transaction underlines both the depth of investor confidence in homegrown technology and the growing importance of Arabic-language AI solutions. It is a pleasure to continue working alongside the Middle East’s most innovative companies as they scale globally.'
We continue to support the region's leading AI startups as technology investment in the Middle East continues to boom. This transaction follows the firm's recent role
advising Lucidya on its record Series B funding round.
