We have advised Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs as lenders on the Jersey aspects of a Net Asset Value (NAV) financing facility for Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE).
Working alongside lead lender counsel, Ashurst LLP in London, the facility provides OSE with long‑term capital to support new investments and the growth of its portfolio of more than 100 companies.
OSE is an independent investment company founded in 2015 to back exceptional science‑based businesses across life sciences, healthtech and deeptech. It works in partnership with the University of Oxford to create and scale world‑leading ventures. The success of this transaction underscores confidence in OSE’s platform.
Our Jersey Banking & Finance team acted for both lenders. The team was led by partner Julia Keppe, with senior associate Lucy Le Cornu supporting on documentation and execution across the facility.
Julia commented: 'NAV facilities have become an important tool for borrowers. We were delighted to support Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs on a flexible, well protected structure that will help OSE back more world changing science.'
'This transaction also highlights our expertise in complex financing structures for leading global institutions.'
