We are delighted to celebrate the success of our 2026 cohort of newly qualified associates from our Ireland office – Emma Jackson, Dylan Kirwan, Conor McCabe, Aoife O’Leary and Coleen Wegmann.

Having successfully completed their 24-month training programme, and with admission to the Law Society of Ireland due this month, they will begin their careers as associates with us, contributing their expertise across Asset Finance, Asset Management & Investment Funds, Finance & Capital Markets and Regulatory & Risk Advisory.

During their training they attended the Law Society’s nine month professional practice course and completed rotations across a number of practice areas in the firm, receiving hands on training and mentoring from partners and associates. This experience equips our newly qualified lawyers to deliver outstanding client service and practical, commercial advice.

Jonathan Sheehan, Managing Partner, said:

'We are very proud to see Emma, Dylan, Conor, Aoife and Coleen reach this important milestone. Each has shown dedication, adaptability and a commitment to excellence in their legal training with us. We look forward to their continued success as they begin their careers as associates.'

Hear from our new associates

Here’s what they had to say about their journey and what excites them about the future.

Dylan Kirwan

'I look forward to continuing my career at Walkers as an associate in the Asset Management & Investment Funds team, following a rewarding and varied training contract with exposure to high-quality work and supportive colleagues.'

Conor McCabe

'My time as a trainee with Walkers has been incredibly rewarding and fast paced. I’m looking forward to building on that experience and taking on greater responsibility as an associate in the Asset Finance team.'

Aoife O’Leary

'I have enjoyed gaining hands-on experience across complex matters in a supportive environment. I look forward to continuing my professional development alongside my talented colleagues at Walkers.'

Coleen Wegmann

'The most rewarding aspect of my training was working closely on complex matters, and I am now excited to build on that foundation by developing technical expertise and greater autonomy as a qualified solicitor.'
