We are pleased to announce that we have signed an agreement to act as title sponsor of the HERA Legacy Programme and exclusive sponsor of the Junior Girls Lionesses Pathway in Jersey.
The partnership supports girls’ cricket from grassroots participation through to representative squads, including the HERA Lionesses, Lionesses Development Squad and Lionesses Performance Squad.
The HERA Legacy Programme has been created to introduce girls aged 7-15 to cricket through club training and summer fixtures, providing an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages both social and competitive participation. From there, as players develop they will be able to progress through the Junior Girls Lionesses Pathway, which has been designed to support skill development and age-appropriate coaching as players develop.
This sponsorship reflects our longstanding commitment to Jersey and to building meaningful, long‑term partnerships in the communities in which we operate. By working closely with Jersey Cricket, we aim to support the successful introduction of initiatives that create accessible opportunities for young girls, while helping to foster the sustainable development of the women’s and girls’ game on the Island.
Fraser Hern, head of our Channel Islands business, said:
'We are deeply committed to playing a long‑term role in Jersey and to supporting initiatives that make a positive difference locally. This partnership with Jersey Cricket aligns strongly with our values and we are pleased to support the introduction of a programme that encourages participation, development and ambition for girls across the Island.'
James Turnbull, partner and CSR committee member, added:
'This sponsorship is about supporting the growth of girls' cricket in Jersey and providing young players with greater opportunities to play a fast-growing sport for women across the globe. From first involvement at grassroots level through the Hera Legacy Programme, through to development and performance squads, the Junior Girls Lionesses Pathway aims to provide opportunities for progression through high-quality coaching and will hopefully produce the next generation of players for the Jersey team. We are pleased to be supporting Jersey Cricket as these initiatives are introduced to help supercharge the growth of girls' cricket in our community.'
