Advising Butterfield on launch of investment services in Jersey

We have advised Butterfield on the launch of its investment services and asset management offering in Jersey, supporting the bank in securing the necessary regulatory licences and consents to enable the expansion.

 

The launch marks a significant step in Butterfield’s continued growth in the Channel Islands, bringing its established investment offering to Jersey. The new services include discretionary investment management and access to its Multi-Asset Fund, broadening the range of investment solutions available to clients locally and bringing synergies with Butterfield's existing offering in Guernsey.

 

Our team was led by Regulatory & Risk partner Gemma Palmer and Investment Funds & Corporate partner Kirsten Faichnie, who advised on the regulatory framework and licensing process required to bring the offering to market.
