We have strengthened our Private Capital & Trusts offering in Guernsey with the appointment of Jennifer Morries as senior counsel, further enhancing our Channel Islands practice.
Jennifer advises on a wide range of offshore trust and private wealth matters, including wealth structuring, succession planning, and trust and estate administration. She works with high-net-worth individuals, families and trustees on complex cross-border arrangements, with particular experience in international wealth structuring and intergenerational planning.
She joins us with significant experience from leading onshore law firms, most recently as an associate partner at a specialist private client practice. Jennifer qualified as a solicitor in 2013, is admitted in England and Wales and is a full member of STEP.
Our Channel Islands Private Capital & Trusts team is led by partner, Rupert Morris, and works across our Jersey and Guernsey offices, advising an international client base on a full spectrum of private wealth matters.
We have a distinctive jurisdictional footprint in the Channel Islands, advising on five laws across our Jersey and Guernsey offices. Our team is composed of lawyers who take a jurisdiction-agnostic approach, allowing us to deliver advice tailored to the specific requirements of each client.
Rupert Morris commented:
'Jennifer brings strong technical experience advising individuals and families on complex private wealth structures. Her arrival further enhances our ability to support clients across multiple jurisdictions from our Channel Islands platform.'
Jennifer Morries added:
'Walkers has a well-established Private Capital & Trusts practice with a clear focus on cross-border client work. I look forward to working with colleagues across the Channel Islands to support clients with their evolving structuring and succession needs.'
The strength of our Private Capital & Trusts practice is reflected in recent independent recognition, including our inclusion in the 2025 ePrivateClient Top Offshore Law Firms ranking for the eighth consecutive year and the 2026 Private Client Global Elite Directory, where six of our Channel Islands lawyers were recognised as leading advisers to ultra-high-net-worth clients.
