We have advised on the launch of Assetize, a new platform developed by Cavenwell Group to support the creation and management of tokenised investment products across a range of asset classes and legal structures.
Designed to streamline the launch and operation of tokenised investment products, Assetize provides sponsors, asset managers and other asset owners with a platform through which they can bring tokenised products to market using integrated legal, administrative, governance and blockchain infrastructure. By bringing together the key operational and structural components required to issue and manage tokenised products, Assetize simplifies the process of bringing tokenised investment products to market.
The platform supports a broad range of asset classes, including listed securities, private credit, real estate and other tokenised real-world assets.
Our team was led by Dilmun Leach, head of our Jersey Fintech practice, and Gemma Palmer, partner in our Regulatory & Risk practice, who advised on the Jersey regulatory and fintech aspects of the platform’s launch. They were supported by Banking & Finance partner James Lydeard, Investment Funds & Corporate senior counsel Sarah Townsend, Regulatory & Risk senior associate Metumo Shilongo and Investment Funds & Corporate senior associate Adam Diamond.
Dilmun said: ‘Assetize marks a significant milestone in the development of tokenised capital markets. By bringing together the legal, operational and technological infrastructure required to launch and manage tokenised products within a single platform, it creates new opportunities for asset owners and institutions looking to access this evolving market.’
Gemma added: ‘As tokenisation continues to develop, market participants are increasingly focused on ensuring innovative products are supported by appropriate governance, compliance and regulatory frameworks. Platforms such as Assetize reflect growing demand for solutions that combine technological innovation with the standards of oversight expected in regulated financial markets.’
This mandate further reflects our experience advising on digital assets, fintech and tokenisation initiatives. Drawing on expertise from across our Investment Funds & Corporate, Regulatory & Risk and Fintech teams, we continue to support clients across a broad range of digital asset and tokenisation solutions, asset classes and structures.
