Walkers, the international law firm, welcomes the recent judgment of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands in the long-running Port Fund litigation, which dismissed all claims brought against the firm.
The litigation arose from a series of claims brought by investors in the Port Fund against several parties, including Walkers in its capacity as legal adviser.
Daniel Wood, managing partner of Walkers' Dubai office, said: 'The Court has examined every allegation against Walkers and dismissed them all. We're pleased the judgment recognises that our people acted professionally and with proper independence throughout. This has been a long and difficult period for my colleagues involved in these proceedings, and I'm grateful for the way they have conducted themselves throughout. Our focus is on our clients and on our work.'
