"This year I was fortunate enough to be a part of the student bursary scheme at Walkers. This consisted of financial aid and a 4-week placement at the firm. The financial aid from the scheme was extremely helpful in supporting me in my law degree. During the 4-week placement I was able to gain hands on experience in all the firms practice areas. Within my placement at Walkers the team allowed me to get stuck in to all the work they complete. A highlight of my time at Walkers was drafting a Memorandum and Articles of Association for a new company being registered in Jersey. My time at Walkers was made even better by those who work there, who provided me with an abundance of knowledge about their careers and supported me with any questions and issues I faced allowing me to thrive in a new environment." Thomas, Former Bursary Student
“The Walkers Bursary Scheme was an incredible opportunity for me to develop my legal knowledge and the four-week placement which I undertook allowed me to understand the daily operations of the firm prior to starting my law degree at the end of this month. I spent time in each of the Jersey office’s five practice areas and had the chance to really understand what differentiates each department and how they work together. The work which I completed was invaluable including legal opinions, research and other various jobs that I could assist my colleagues at Walkers with. The friendly and supporting atmosphere made me feel part of the community from my first day and meant that I felt comfortable asking anyone any questions I had. I am so grateful for everyone at Walkers and the manner in which I was welcomed and supported during my Bursary Scheme.” Zara, Former Bursary Student
