Szymon advises on Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Jersey law, for general banking and finance, specialising in offshore debt capital markets, Islamic finance and structured lending transactions.
Szymon's principal focus is the offshore structuring of sukuk and bond issuances, EMTN and note programmes, as well as Cayman Islands issuer and orphan SPV structures used by sovereign and quasi-sovereign issuers, financial institutions and corporates.
Szymon regularly advises on complex cross-border Shari’ah-compliant and conventional financings and private credit transactions, working closely with issuers, arrangers, trustees, financial institutions and international counsel across the Middle East and other global markets.
Szymon's wider finance practice includes structured and asset-backed finance, fund finance, secured lending, acquisition and leveraged finance and project finance.
Experience and recent work
Before joining us in 2021, Szymon was in the finance and corporate department of Mourant Ozannes, in their Jersey office. He helped clients with a range of finance and corporate matters – in particular, leveraged and real-estate finance, corporate migrations, debt listings and various private equity transactions.
