Ryan advises clients on all aspects of investment funds, including structuring and formation, ongoing operations, reorganisations and end of life matters.
He has extensive experience in both open and closed-ended fund structures, as well as downstream corporate transactions. Ryan acts for a broad variety of clients, from start-up and emerging managers to large institutional asset managers.
Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers, Ryan worked in the Securities Group in the Vancouver office of Canadian law firm, Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. In this role, he advised clients on a range of commercial transactions, including M&A, public and private financings, IPOs, private equity transactions, corporate restructurings and commercial agreements.
