Andrea Haughton is an associate based in the Cayman Islands office. She is a member of the Global Investment Funds Group.
Andrea advises investment banks, investment managers, corporate trustees and private equity houses on a wide range of private equity and hedge fund matters, from the structuring and formation of funds, downstream activity to de-registration and winding up. Andrea also works on corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and series financing transactions.
Andrea is a member of the Walkers FinTech Group. She advises clients on the establishment and structuring of foundation companies, particularly for blockchain protocols, and on cryptocurrency, decentralised finance and blockchain funds.

Prior to joining Walkers in 2021, Andrea worked in the real estate (real estate finance) group of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in London, where she advised on sponsor driven cross-border real estate investments on a broad spectrum of debt financing and finance issues.
Andrea also has insolvency and restructuring experience gained at Reed Smith LLP (London) where she advised institutional lenders, administrators, turnaround directors and receivers on distressed companies in connection with the restructuring of defaulting facilities, administrations, receiverships and liquidations.
