Metumo brings over a decade of experience in private practice as a financial services regulatory lawyer, gained at leading law firms in Johannesburg and London. He has advised a wide range of financial institutions - ranging from startups to established traditional firms - on prudential and conduct matters, as well as the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Experience and recent work
Before joining Walkers' Jersey office in 2025, Metumo worked as an associate in the financial services regulatory team of a magic circle law firm in London for almost 3 years. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Associate for one of the largest law firms in South Africa.
