Samantha Walker is a senior counsel in Walkers' Insurance practice group based in London, specialising in transactions and regulatory advice involving Bermuda law.
Samantha has offshore insurance and financial services regulatory experience and advises on transactional and regulatory matters for insurers, reinsurers, investors, and other stakeholders in the global insurance market. Her practice includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance queries, regulatory matters and other insurance/reinsurance transactions.
Experience and recent work
Samantha spent six weeks in Walkers' Bermuda office when she joined the firm where she was admitted to the Bermuda Bar. She then joined Walkers' London office which works closely with our Bermuda office to support clients in the EMEA region, and provide first-class, commercially-focused Bermuda law advice.
Prior to joining Walkers, Samantha trained and qualified with Sidley Austin LLP in London, working as an insurance specialist in their insurance and financial services regulatory team. As part of her training, she completed seats in Corporate and Securities, Insurance and Financial Services, Investment Funds, and Financial Services Regulatory (with a Data Privacy focus).
Prior to joining Walkers, Samantha trained and qualified with Sidley Austin LLP in London, working as an insurance specialist in their insurance and financial services regulatory team. As part of her training, she completed seats in Corporate and Securities, Insurance and Financial Services, Investment Funds, and Financial Services Regulatory (with a Data Privacy focus).
