Offshore Issues on Real Estate Financing Deals

Walkers is delighted to invite you to the seventh session of the Walkers Academy Webinar Series 2020. This session will cover Offshore Issues on Real Estate Financing Deals.

Each session is tailored to one of our core practices and will be delivered jointly by our Guernsey and Jersey based partners and senior counsel twice monthly until the end of 2020. The sessions will run for approximately 30-45 minutes each plus Q&A.

The seventh presentation will be held on Thursday 15 October at 12:00pm (BST).

Zoë Hallam and Tristan Maultby, Senior Counsel in Guernsey and Jersey, will discuss the role of offshore counsel on real estate financing deals, looking at a typical deal from kick-off to closing. They will focus particularly on the Guernsey and Jersey security package and will flag the key Guernsey and Jersey law issues to be aware of, whether as borrower, lender or onshore counsel.
