Legal Training

With over 35 years' experience in legal training, Walkers (Cayman) is recognised as the first law firm in the Cayman Islands to develop a comprehensive structured training programme for articled clerks. Articled clerks are formally articled to a partner of the firm who acts as a mentor and coach for the duration of their articles. Articles of clerkship are offered to qualified Caymanians with consistent outstanding academic achievements, including a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelors of Law or Graduate Diploma in Law degree and at least a Commendation grade in either the Professional Practice Course, the Legal Practice Course or the Bar Professional Training Course.

Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) is offered to Caymanians who have completed their legal studies and/or passed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) Assessments 1 and 2.

The deadline for the 2022 applications has now passed and we are no longer accepting applications for articles of clerkship.
