Paul Osborne is based in Walkers' Cayman Islands office where he is senior counsel in the firm's Global Corporate and Finance Groups. He specialises in structured finance and asset finance.

In structured finance, Paul has advised major investment banks on a broad range of multi-jurisdictional structured finance transactions, including credit-linked and equity derivative trades, preference share financings, arbitrage and other tax structured transactions, index-linked and credit-linked note issues and structured repo and stock lending transactions.

In asset finance, Paul has acted for banks, lessors, owners, export credit agencies and operators, with a particular focus on aviation financing. His experience covers all aspects of cross-border and domestic asset financing and leasing structures, including export credit-supported financings, pre-delivery financing, tax-driven transactions, Japanese and Spanish operating leases, receivables backed financings, aircraft acquisitions and disposals and restructurings.​

Before joining Walkers, Paul was a senior associate in the Structured and Asset Finance group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which he joined in 2006. Prior to joining Freshfields, Paul was an assistant solicitor in the Asset Finance group of Denton Wilde Sapte, where he qualified in 2002.​
