James specialises in debt capital markets and structured finance with a particular expertise in CLOs. He also sits as a director on the Walkers Professional Services entities and is focused on the strategic growth of that business.
James has extensive experience of advising some of the most prominent CLO managers and clients in the market on the full range of structured finance products and services, as well as securitisation and secured-note programme structures, and bespoke structured products.
James is indispensable when I need very practical advice on how best to think about Cayman law matters.
Experience and recent work
James was previously a partner at another major offshore law firm, spending over seven years in their Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Singapore offices. Before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2007, he worked in Linklaters’ Structured Finance Group in London.
