Kim Paiva is a senior counsel in Walker's Guernsey office where she is a member of the Corporate, Finance and Investment Funds Group. Kim advises clients on a broad range of corporate, banking and finance matters. She has particular expertise in acting on corporate transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, take-overs, complex restructurings of all Guernsey entities as well as acting for both lenders, and borrowers on banking and financing transactions. Kim is part of Walkers' Global Aviation Group and has developed particular experience in acting for both owners and financiers in relation to transactions involving aircraft registered or to be registered on 2-REG (Guernsey's Aircraft Registry).Recent transactions include:
Prior to relocating to Guernsey at the beginning of 2009, Kim practised as a corporate and commercial attorney at one of South Africa's largest law firms, Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs. On arriving in Guernsey, she practised in the Business and Trust Law team at a leading offshore firm, before joining AO Hall, Walkers (Guernsey) LLP's predecessor firm in September 2010.
