Paul Nystrom is Senior Counsel in the corporate practice at Walkers' Bermuda office.
Paul’s practice spans a broad range of finance and capital market transactions with an emphasis on debt and equity offerings, structured finance, secured lending, mergers and acquisitions and reorganizations. In addition, Paul has an active general corporate practice, including advising on the establishment of Bermuda entities and advising companies and directors in respect of corporate governance and regulatory matters, including directors' fiduciary duties and responsibilities. He has also served as a director on the boards of Irish consumer goods companies based in Bermuda.
Prior to joining Walkers, Paul trained and qualified with Linklaters in London, then worked in the banking and finance practice of Shearman & Sterling in New York and Hong Kong, and Mayer Brown's corporate practice in New York. In July 2008, he joined an offshore law firm in Bermuda and has been practicing Bermuda law since then.
