Richard Williams is based in Walkers' Singapore office where he is counsel in the firm's Global Corporate and Finance Group. Richard specialises in asset finance with a focus on aviation.

Richard advises all aviation industry participants including banks, leasing companies, sponsors, issuers and operators. Richard's experience covers all aspects of cross-border aircraft financing and leasing structures, including asset backed securitisations, warehouse financing, private placements, syndicated lending, portfolio acquisitions and disposals, mergers and acquisitions, export credit-supported financings, airline restructurings and insolvencies, pre-delivery payment financing, tax-driven transactions and Japanese operating leasing.

Prior to joining Walkers, Richard was Counsel in the Banking Group of Dentons UK and Middle East LLP.  Prior to joining Dentons, Richard was a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance having worked in both its London and New York offices.  Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Richard was a senior associate in the Structured and Asset Finance Group at Freshfields in London.  During his career Richard has also spent time on secondment at Airbus S.A.S. and RBS Aviation Capital (now SMBC Aviation Capital).
