Samantha Kyme joined Walkers' Bermuda office in 2019 where she is Vice President, Professional Services. She provides enhanced corporate secretarial and board support services, which includes meeting co-ordination, attendance, preparation of meeting minutes and co-ordination of post-meeting action points. She advises on board governance, including best practice, board efficiency and effectiveness, regulatory corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters with a focus on the insurance, reinsurance and financial services industries. Samantha also advises on governance documents, including Board and Committee Charters and Board and Committee annual evaluation surveys. She has experience with NYSE, SEC, BMA and Registrar of Companies filings in her prior role as in-house Legal Counsel and Secretary for a NYSE listed, Bermuda based, dual-licenced Class 4 and Class E insurance company. Samantha also provides independent directorships to companies, including regulated entities focusing on insurance, reinsurance, captive, ILS, financial services and FinTech.
Samantha has over 14 years of industry experience specialising in insurance, reinsurance, aviation and financing.
Prior to joining Walkers, she held various in-house legal and corporate secretarial positions at licenced Bermuda regulated entities and also served as Secretary for the Risk and Audit Committees and various Executive and Management Committees.
