Jacobus Pietersen acts as a director on SPVs involved in asset and structured finance transactions. He has a background in accounting and finance and specialises in aircraft and other asset finance transactions where he works with a range of financial institutions, export credit agencies, leasing companies, manufacturers and operators.
He is a member of the fintech practice where he works closely with Cayman Foundation Companies in the fintech and blockchain space. In addition, he is part of the Walkers Professional Services share trustee practice where he specialises in various charitable and STAR trust structures.
Jacobus has extensive experience in the offshore alternative investments industry and prior to joining Walkers in 2019 he worked for two of the world's largest banks as well as a Big 4 audit firm.
