Ruth Donnellan is a senior associate in Walkers' Jersey Investment Funds and Corporate Law team with experience of advising on complex M&A deals and on all aspects of corporate advice under Jersey law.Ruth works with onshore counsel to advise clients on Jersey law aspects of cross-border M&A transactions, as well as corporate restructuring, reorganisations and migrations.She has also advised on M&A deals involving regulated financial services businesses in Jersey, and on transactions involving Special Purpose Acquisition Companies.Ruth advises on bespoke regulatory issues including questions around economic substance.Ruth has also advised start-ups on funding and subscription arrangements.
Prior to joining Walkers in 2019, Ruth worked with Beauchamps, a large commercial law firm based in Dublin, on its corporate team focusing on M&A, restructuring, regulatory matters and company secretary work.Prior to qualifying as an Irish Solicitor in 2016, she worked for KBC Bank as part of its restructuring team.
