Practice Areas

Ciaran Bohnacker is a partner in the firm's Global Finance and Corporate Groups and has been based in Dubai since 2011. He advises on Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands (BVI) law in relation to general banking, asset and project finance, acquisition finance, private equity and general corporate transactions. His clients include major regional and international banks and financial institutions, investment groups, oil and gas companies, sovereign wealth funds and aviation sector participants.

Ciaran also advises on capital markets transactions with a focus on Sukuk (Islamic bonds). He has led the offshore team advising on a number of innovative transactions and market firsts.

Prior to joining Walkers in 2011, Ciaran practiced in the banking and finance department of Clifford Chance in both their Dubai and Hong Kong offices – having completed his training contract with Clifford Chance in London. During his time with Clifford Chance, Ciaran advised on a broad range of finance matters, in particular, cross-border project finance and acquisition finance transactions.​
