John Swani is a senior associate in Walkers' Jersey Banking & Finance Practice Group, advising on the full range of real estate finance, development finance, fund finance and corporate borrowing matters.
John has experience of onshore and offshore practice working on complex lending matters on both borrower and lender side, with a focus on acquisition and development finance.
He has also advised on sustainable financing and ESG loans.

Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers in 2023, John trained and qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales with Browne Jacobsen LLP in Birmingham.
In his six years at Browne Jacobsen he advised lenders including mainstream banks, alternative debt providers, challenger banks and PE / debt funds, and borrowers involved in tech, healthcare, manufacturing, wholesale and retail.
