This seminar will provide an overview of what happens to a shipping company in distress with a review of the different stages of the insolvency cycle, including with reference to such cases as OW Bunker, Hanjin and EMAS. It will also consider cross-border enforcement options, review the different forms of insolvency processes from receivership and administration to liquidation and bankruptcy, and will discuss the practical issues involved when considering potential restructuring opportunities.
