Investment Funds and Corporate Specialist Samantha Gramoney Joins Walkers' Guernsey Team

Investment Funds and Corporate specialist Samantha Gramoney has joined Walkers' Guernsey Investment Funds and Corporate team as an associate.

Samantha, who is also a Chartered Governance professional, has practised onshore as a corporate lawyer at top-tier regional and international law firms.

Before joining the Walkers team led by group partner Matt Sanders she worked in the Fund Services team at JTC.

Samantha has experience across a wide range of listed and unlisted Investment Funds and Corporate Law matters. She is a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and also holds a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Company Law and a certificate in London Listed Funds.

Walkers recently moved to larger offices at Helvetia Court in St Peter Port after sustained growth saw headcount almost treble over four years.

Recruits this year include partner Craig Cordle, group partner David Cooney, senior counsel Danielle Brouard, and associates Devon Jenkins, Jarrad Knoetze, Maryke Louw, Kgotso Matjila, Tiny Musesengwa and Gemma Trencher.

The strategic recruitment has had significant impact on the firm's position in the market – Walkers was ranked in the top tier for most of its practice groups in the ratings published by independent legal researchers Legal 500 last month.

Walkers' group partner Matt Sanders said: "We are delighted to welcome Samantha to our expanding practice – her experience and skill relating to investment funds and corporate matters, particularly given her time spent in-house, complements our existing offering."
