Walkers' Jersey team has acted for Trinova Real Estate and Morood Investment Company on the sale of Grange Road Business Park in Dorset for £29m, including advice on Islamic finance aspects of the transaction under Jersey law.

The Walkers team led by partner Jonathan Heaney, supported by associate Ruth Donnellan, advised on the Jersey corporate law elements of the deal.

The team worked with lead counsel Trowers & Hamlins LLP and administrators Dominion on the matter.

Jonathan said: "We continue to see Jersey being used by investors for UK real estate assets, particularly in the logistics sector.

"This transaction also neatly demonstrates how Jersey is used to offer solutions that dovetail with the requirements of Sharia financing – again, this is a trend that our team has significant experience in, and there are a number of ways in which Shariah requirements can be satisfied using Jersey structures."
