Walkers (Guernsey) has Acted for ARC Group on its Recent Restructuring and Management Buy-Out

Walkers (Guernsey) has acted for ARC Group on its recent restructuring and management buy-out. ARC Group provides investment consulting, manager research and performance reporting to private clients, charities, family offices, professional trustees and their advisers, and has offices in Guernsey, Jersey, London and Toronto. ARC was acquired by Canadian businessman Arthur Labatt in 2014 and the restructuring and management buy-out now sees the Group being majority owned by its employees, with the largest ordinary shareholder being a newly established employment benefit trust. Mr Labatt remains a minority shareholder in the Group.

Walkers (Guernsey), led by Partner Sam Shires and with assistance from Associate Juliana Atere, acted for ARC Group on all aspects of the restructuring, including preparation of the sale documentation and the establishment of the employee benefit trust, while Miller Thomson (Toronto) acted for Mr Labatt.
