Walkers Acts on $1 billion Didi Chuxing and 99 Taxis Transaction

Walkers' BVI and Cayman Islands offices advised Didi Chuxing, the ride-sharing giant of China, on the BVI and Cayman elements of its highly-publicised US$1 billion acquisition of 99 Taxis. 99 Taxis is a leading ride-sharing app in Brazil.

Walkers was instructed by Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and led by corporate partner Jason Allison with assistance from Christopher Brett Young (Cayman) and senior counsel Nick Egan (BVI). IDR partner Rupert Bell and associate Chris Keefe assisted on potential litigation aspects.
