Walkers London Acts as BVI Counsel on OML-17 Acquisition

Walkers London is delighted to have acted as BVI counsel to the senior lenders on the US$450,000,000 senior financing related to the acquisition by TNOG Oil and Gas of a stake in OML-17, an onshore asset in Nigeria. The Walkers team was led by Jack Boldarin, Managing Partner, and Catherine Overton, Senior Counsel, supported by associate Dina Anastas, alongside transaction counsel to the senior lenders Herbert Smith Freehills (led by partner Will Breeze and senior associate Kerry Reid).

Described as 'one of the largest and most prominent Oil and Gas deals in Africa for more than a decade', a group of global and regional banks and investors provided US$1.1 billion across the different layers of the capital structure.
