Walkers acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Ares SSG Capital Management, a leading Asia-Pacific alternative asset manager, on the successful launch and subsequent closings of Ares SSG Secured Lending Opportunities III, L.P., which secured capital commitments of over US$1.6 billion in aggregate (representing a nearly 100% increase on the size of the prior fund). The fund, which held its final closing on July 14, 2021, is Ares SSG’s third fund targeting secured lending investments in Asia.
