Walkers London Acts on HeidelbergCement's 45% Acquisition of Command Alkon

Walkers' London office has acted as Cayman Islands counsel to HeidelbergCement AG ("HeidelbergCement") in relation to its acquisition of a 45% stake in Command Alkon Inc. ("Command Alkon") from Thoma Bravo.

Command Alkon is a global leader in comprehensive supply chain technology solutions for heavy building materials and will remain majority-owned by software investment firm, Thoma Bravo.

HeidelbergCement is one of the world's largest manufacturers of building materials and their products are used in the construction of houses, traffic infrastructure, commercial and industrial facilities.

London-based partners, Neil McDonald and Matthew Bloomfield, led the Walkers team advising HeidelbergCement with assistance from senior associate, Thomas Mawson, and associate, Tom Esler.

Mr. McDonald commented: "We are delighted to have assisted HeidelbergCement in this prominent acquisition. We pride ourselves on facilitating our clients' ambitious, pathfinding and innovative strategies through the utilisation of our multifaceted legal expertise in our London office, and were thrilled to work on this important transaction."

Mr. Bloomfield added: "The ease with which complex governance and investor terms can be incorporated into Cayman structures is a testament to the Cayman product, and it's why the Cayman Islands remain the 'go to' jurisdiction for international joint ventures and investment funds."

Walkers was instructed by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
