Teams led by partner Craig Cordle and group partner Kim Paiva advised Equitix on its expanded stake in the Hornsea One windfarm located off the north-east coast of England.

The windfarm, located in the North Sea, 75 miles off the east coast of England, generates green energy for more than one million homes and businesses.

It is owned by a partnership including Equitix, InfraRed Capital Partners Ltd, Global Infrastructure Partners and Ørsted.

Kim's team advised Equitix on the financing of the acquisition.

Craig said: "We are delighted to have advised our clients Equitix on this important transaction, which demonstrates how Guernsey structures are used for all manner of transactions and holdings, including in the area of sustainable finance and infrastructure investment."

Kim added: "We are very pleased to have been able to support this transaction, and to have been able to provide a joined-up service on both the corporate and financing elements of the deal."
