Walkers acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Hong Kong-based buyout firm Baring Private Equity Asia in connection with the take private of Ginko International Co., Ltd ("Ginko") and its delisting from the Taipei Exchange.  

Ginko is one of the biggest contact lens producers in China.  The transaction, which represents the largest take-private transaction in Taiwan's consumer sector and a relatively rare instance of a private equity firm delisting a company from the Taipei Exchange, values Ginko at an enterprise value of US$1 billion.
