Walkers has strengthened its market leading Asia regulatory team with the addition of specialist lawyers Marco Lam and Simone Burnett Lanauze.
Marco Lam joins as a counsel in Singapore and brings more than 10 years' experience as a regulatory lawyer, working for major international law firms, global banks, a major financial regulator and a financial ombudsman. He has experience of onshore practice as a financial services regulation specialist, advising on matters relating to anti-money laundering (AML), compliance and regulatory investigations.
Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, Marco has extensive knowledge of the banking and finance, FinTech, global markets, insurance, and investment management sectors.
Simone Burnett Lanauze joins as a senior associate in the Singapore office having worked for over eight years' as a regulatory lawyer. She has also worked for an international law firm, major banks in Asia Pacific and a financial markets regulator.
