Walkers Advises Productivity Media Inc on International Media Fund Launch

Walkers has advised on the launch of a new fund targeting finance solutions for film and TV projects across Europe, Australia and New Zealand for Productivity Media Inc.

A Walkers team led by group partner Leanne Wallser along with senior associate Joseph Barker-Willis, advised on the Jersey law aspects of the launch.

The fund's target market will include Canadian, American, United Kingdom, French, German, Maltese, Australian and New Zealand film and television producers (as well as film and television producers from other jurisdictions) with budgets generally in the range of US$2 million to US$50 million.

Group partner Leanne Wallser said: "This launch demonstrates not just the confidence in the Jersey Private Fund model, but also its versatility as an international investment vehicle. We are very pleased to have been able to support Productivity Media Inc and to have worked with Osborne Clarke on this matter."

Walkers Advises The Commercial Bank (P.S.Q.C) of Qatar

Walkers advised Commercial Bank, a leading Qatari financial institution, on Bermuda law aspects in connection with the update to its US$5 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme, under which the bank may directly, or indirectly through its wholly owned subsidiary, CBQ Finance Limited, a company incorporated in Bermuda, issue senior or subordinated guaranteed notes in multiple currencies.

The Dealers under the Programme are Al Khaliji, ANZ, Barclays, BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, Citigroup, Commerzbank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Mizuho Securities, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered Bank, QNB Capital and The Commercial Bank.

The Walkers team was led by Hong Kong partner Nicholas Davies and Bermuda partner Adam Bathgate with assistance from Hong Kong associate Sonya Saxena.

Clifford Chance advised The Commercial Bank on the English law aspects and Simmons & Simmons Middle East acted for the Dealers.
