Philip has a broad private capital and corporate practice, advising family offices, entrepreneurs, business owners and other private clients on the structuring, establishment and reorganisation of their investments, businesses and ownership arrangements in the Cayman Islands.
His practice encompasses family office matters, asset protection and succession planning structures, foundation companies and other bespoke ownership, holding and governance structures, as well as Cayman investment vehicles and the establishment and redomiciliation of businesses in the Cayman Islands.
Drawing on extensive corporate and transactional experience, Philip regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions, investments and exits, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, equity and debt listings, corporate governance and general corporate matters. He acts for a diverse range of clients, including family offices, entrepreneurs, business owners, emerging and family-owned businesses, institutional investors and multinational groups.

Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers, Philip was a Partner at a leading international law firm, Dickinson Wright LLP in their Toronto, Ontario office. Philip's practice focused on corporate/commercial matters, which included advising domestic and foreign public and private companies on a wide range of corporate matters, including cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, reorganisations, partnerships, joint ventures and general corporate matters. His corporate finance and securities practice included advising publicly traded and privately held companies on corporate and securities-related matters, including cross-border public and private offerings of debt, equity, convertible and hybrid securities, stock exchange listings, corporate governance issues and periodic reporting obligations under securities law. Philip's industry sector experience includes high tech, telecommunications, retail, clean tech, environmental, manufacturing, real estate, cannabis, renewable energy projects, business services and professional services firms.
