Thea was born and raised in the Cayman Islands, trained with Walkers in 2015 and joined the Private Capital & Trusts team in 2016.
Thea advises high net worth families, trust companies and family offices on all aspects of private trusts and other wealth planning structures. She advises on commercial trust matters including the creation and administration of unit trusts and the use of purpose trusts in investment fund structures. She also has significant expertise in Cayman Islands succession, including drafting Cayman Islands wills and obtaining grants of representation from the Cayman Islands Court.
Experience and recent work
Having spent her entire career at Walkers, Thea has significant expertise in advising on all aspects of private trusts, commercial trusts and Cayman Islands succession. She was a featured panellist on the inaugural STEP Cayman Next Generation breakout session, titled "Understanding Cayman Islands Trusts" at the STEP Cayman Islands conference in January 2024.
